Welcome to Quayside my town by the seaside!

WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE

Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!

I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! The links below will take you to each of my houses and I especially hope you enjoy your visit to Quayside :-)

Quayside is still going strong, Sunnyside my little retirement village, Broomside my witchy street and my little vintage village! Lots to catch up on but here's a couple of recent pics just to give you an idea of what I've been up to! :-)

The village is still going strong and getting ready for Halloween!

I really have let my poor blog slide a bit this year! I am terrible for being on facebook and posting everything on there Bit I will try and keep a bit more up to date on here!

The village is still going strong! It feels the best it ever has right now! I love every house and everything feels like its in just the right place and I still have a great workspace! I bought Seashell back down from my bedroom as I just felt it needed to be back in the village! So glad I did I've played with it much more already! Lots of things have changed but will just give you some village pics today!

I moved the drawers that were in the middle as they looked a bit messy! There is now a table there ready for a new beach!

I have also sold my big witches house! I really wanted another Julie house so she is making me a new witchy one at the mo! I emptied it all out ready to sell and I had no idea there was quite so much in there! I think I have hat issues! There are over 40 of Kats beautiful hats and I love everyone of them!!

There is such incredible detail on every one of these little works of art I just adore them! Hopefully they will be shown off much better in the new shop!!

This beautiful witchy pram from Thimble mins was a treat from my polling day wages! Its wonderful and the baby Jane made me to go with it is just one of the cutest things I have ever seen!!!

The cute mice were from a friend on Facebook called Sylvia who is sadly no longer with us and the little witch girl was also from a lady on Facebook! I just need couple more little girls for my next project!!

Looking forward to Halloween its always fun to make a spooky display!

Lots of comings and going in Quayside and a very special new addition!

Gosh I have been very slack updating my blog!! Blame all my lovely friends on Facebook that keep me posting on there lol!! There is a lot of new goings on in the village! Houses come and houses gone!! Here are the 3 latest new arrivals, Fishermas Rest, Butterfly cottage and Harbourside Cottage.

I got Fishermans Rest for a very good price from Ebay! My friend Carol was really helpful and went to all sorts of trouble to get it collected and sent up to me! Its a lovely little house with its little yard.

At the moment its the doctors surgery but not sure if its staying as it does seem rather a waste in a whole house!

Fishermans rest fitted so well on the windowsil I decided it needed a mate! Because of it being quite low and the way the roof sits it doesn't block the light which is great!

Julie made me a lovely little matching shop and they sit perfectly together! It came unpainted as its a little cheaper and Julie hates the painting and I don't mind it so its a win win lol!

I decided to go with a soft pinky lilac and make it a nursery shop.

It was unpainted inside and a hole cut for the stairs. A very nice lady from Facebook sent me the stairs for just the postage cost! I also decided to go with carpet rather than the usual wooden floors. It was a cost issue but I actually really like it so I think I will keep it like this!

I am so happy with this little shop! Its moved a few times and when you find the right home you just know it!!

I now have a very long list of things I need from Thimblemins!!

Last but not least is Harbourside Cottage. I had to have this when I saw it as I just loved the exterior stairs and the big display window!!

At the moment Babs Boutique is upstairs but shes not staying! Downstairs will be a proper seaside/icecream shop

I took a few pictures with all the lights on and they came out quite well! That is a lot of bulbs to keep going!!!!

Also I know its not dolls house related but at Easter we lost our beloved Sandy dog :-( She was 13 and had cancer and her loss left us all devastated. She would often sit in Dollyland with me and I miss her terribly!! Losing her hit us all very hard but none more than Bethany. After a few days of seeing her so utterly bereft we decided there really was only one thing to do!!! We did an 8 hour round trip to a breeder in Edinburgh and collected our new baby Daisy. She was 8 weeks old and so tiny!! Shes now 15 weeks and has lifted a very dark cloud from above our house! She adores Bean and they are such great buddies already! We will never forget Sandy but she has def helped heal our broken hearts!!

RIP beautiful Sandy dog we still miss you terribly!! xxxxxxx

New house full of pretty!!!

Oh dear its been far too long since I updated my blog! Time seems to be flying by since Christmas! Bethany had her 21st Birthday a few weeks ago no idea where those years went! So much has been going on in Dollyland its all had a rather big change! More on that another day, first I have to show you a lovely new addition! This is Lilac Cottage. My friend Carol was selling it and I didn't really think I had the room but we ended up swapping a smaller shop I had with this one! I am sooo glad I did I absolutely Love it! Such a pretty colour its a lovely new addition to the retail part of the village!

I decided such a pretty house needed a suitably pretty interior! I moved the sewing and knitting shops in and they look perfect! They are full of some of my favourite things made by Deb. All her lovely knitted things and patchworks! I think its probably my favourite shop!!!

The little pram I bought from a Facebook friend as it was just so cute!

I also had this lovely red car and its super cool driver for Xmas! They do add such a fun detail to the look of the village!

By emptying out the wool shop I had a free shop for something else! I decided to make it a back and accessories shop!

Lots of Bratz bags which look like a mess lol but in real life its a lot better it such fun!!

The grocery shop has also moved back into a smaller unit! It just seems to fit better in here!

A couple of new residents which are always good!!
