Welcome to Quayside my town by the seaside!
WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE
Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!
I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! The links below will take you to each of my houses and I especially hope you enjoy your visit to Quayside :-)

Finished the kitchen in Lavender cottage
Doing the dresser made me get on with the rest of the kitchen! I was going for quite a different feel to Seaview as thats supposed to be quite young and girly and originally my plan had been to put the green DHE kitchen units I had (not now sold on Ebay lol) as I was going to make the lounge the kitchen and vice versa but when it came it had the fireplace fitted and the units wouldn't fit and the scullery door really should lead to the kitchen so it seemed right that way round. Its such a small room and with 2 doors and a fireplace it was impossible to get any kitchen units to fit so just went with a small sink and a range still amazed at how much has actually gone in there lol it has everything a kitchen would need just hope it doesn't look too dated as it didn't really want it to be, wanted it to look more traditional than old fashioned hope I've achieved that. I added the curtain on the sink to match the blind and some teatowels on the stove and of course Fisherman Bob has cornish pasty for his supper! I love the pic without the flash it looks like a cosy winters night!

Aunt Alice has arrived :-)
She was originally supposed to be a mini me but she looks a bit older so decided she is def one of the family but not me just yet! a few more years maybe the hair and the ruddy cheeks are about right lol.
Also got a great bin from the DH shop in Inverness now mr Fox has a good reason to be mooching down that alley!
Been busy doing lots of things so far this week woke up way too early this morning thinking of all the things I have to do. I decorated the sweetie shelves last night and really pleased how they have turned out! just ordered some fab looking sweets some fudge and flumps from Ebay and waiting on a few other bits so will post some pics when its finished. Also redone the village wall as it kept sagging. Lindsay got his pal at work to cut me a piece of ply the right size and glued it on last night so now its a proper sturdy wall! just need to add the new movie posters and it will finish it off. I have to say I love my little village I spend hours in the spare room making things I had to be dragged out for dinner yesterday lol I love this hobby its def released my inner interior designer!

Missing my new dolls house buddy! :-(
I had a budget to stick in the DH shop this time as I always get too carried away lol and only went £8 over which I thought was very good! got loads of things for my shop and did get some real bargains! everything in the 1st pic was in a box for 10p each! got the rabbit dish which I would have paid full price for, a bathmat set for Lavender and some great little bits for the shops ots of little ideas for projects in there! some fabric and rugs for £1 each and I love the dustbin which will go down the alley with Mr fox! my lovely cream Reutter Aga that I ordered last week has also arrived so hard to get a pic of it in the house needs a bit of dressing so will try and get another better one later! will have fun playing with all my new bits today but it won't be quite as much fun without Mum!

I've seen the perfect woman for him just need to get her made 1st as its one of the dolls she has already sold so hopefully (fingers crossed) she can make another one the same as she is just right! he will sit on the bench out the front sorting out his fish ready for dinner! The almost perfect sofa for Lavender cottage and not bad fridge for Seaview!
On the upside the fridge finally dried so I put it in place this afternoon and it looks not bad really quite pleased with it! not bad for £3.99 and a bit of paint! almost worth all the grief it caused me ha ha I will be out and about next week with Mum and Dad so hopefully will find some stickers for the SMEG part to finish it off but it looks like its supposed to so thats a start! Also got a tiny bunny in the post today from Ebay I have bought a couple as I used to collect them when I was younger and thought they would go nicely in SeaView. Was a beautiful day today just right for a cool drink and a good book in the garden so translated that into my mini world!

Never painting a fridge again!
Got a lovely mirror in the post today ordered off Ebay last week was not expensive and was worried it might look childish but I loved the colours and it matches perfectly in Lavenders lounge! I made a little hole in the corner of the room yesterday, going to put a standard lamp in for now but really its ready for my Xmas tree always wanted one with real lights!!!

Bathrooms, bits and bobs!
The downstairs of Sea View is now pretty much completed won't be adding to much more as I don't want it to get too cluttered and I like how it looks just now busy but not too much so will have to stop myself buying any more lovely things for it! Also think the yard is finished again don't want to overcrowd it!
Waiting for some more things through the post now although this week got a nice book case for Lavender cottage which I'm so pleased with its like it was made to measure the space it sits in its the most perfect fit! new sofas should be here soon swapping the other ones just didn't love them so hopefully the new ones will be just right, they were actually my 1st choice I should of stuck with them lol painted the log burner last night didn't like the grey finish it looks much better in black!
