Welcome to Quayside my town by the seaside!

WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE

Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!

I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! The links below will take you to each of my houses and I especially hope you enjoy your visit to Quayside :-)

Lots of comings and going in Quayside and a very special new addition!

Gosh I have been very slack updating my blog!! Blame all my lovely friends on Facebook that keep me posting on there lol!! There is a lot of new goings on in the village! Houses come and houses gone!! Here are the 3 latest new arrivals, Fishermas Rest, Butterfly cottage and Harbourside Cottage.

I got Fishermans Rest for a very good price from Ebay! My friend Carol was really helpful and went to all sorts of trouble to get it collected and sent up to me! Its a lovely little house with its little yard.

At the moment its the doctors surgery but not sure if its staying as it does seem rather a waste in a whole house!

Fishermans rest fitted so well on the windowsil I decided it needed a mate! Because of it being quite low and the way the roof sits it doesn't block the light which is great!

Julie made me a lovely little matching shop and they sit perfectly together! It came unpainted as its a little cheaper and Julie hates the painting and I don't mind it so its a win win lol!

I decided to go with a soft pinky lilac and make it a nursery shop.

It was unpainted inside and a hole cut for the stairs. A very nice lady from Facebook sent me the stairs for just the postage cost! I also decided to go with carpet rather than the usual wooden floors. It was a cost issue but I actually really like it so I think I will keep it like this!

I am so happy with this little shop! Its moved a few times and when you find the right home you just know it!!

I now have a very long list of things I need from Thimblemins!!

Last but not least is Harbourside Cottage. I had to have this when I saw it as I just loved the exterior stairs and the big display window!!

At the moment Babs Boutique is upstairs but shes not staying! Downstairs will be a proper seaside/icecream shop

I took a few pictures with all the lights on and they came out quite well! That is a lot of bulbs to keep going!!!!

Also I know its not dolls house related but at Easter we lost our beloved Sandy dog :-( She was 13 and had cancer and her loss left us all devastated. She would often sit in Dollyland with me and I miss her terribly!! Losing her hit us all very hard but none more than Bethany. After a few days of seeing her so utterly bereft we decided there really was only one thing to do!!! We did an 8 hour round trip to a breeder in Edinburgh and collected our new baby Daisy. She was 8 weeks old and so tiny!! Shes now 15 weeks and has lifted a very dark cloud from above our house! She adores Bean and they are such great buddies already! We will never forget Sandy but she has def helped heal our broken hearts!!

RIP beautiful Sandy dog we still miss you terribly!! xxxxxxx
