WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE

Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!

I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! The links below will take you to each of my houses and I especially hope you enjoy your visit to Quayside :-)

Never painting a fridge again!

Saturday was a long day this weekend the caravan is rented out this week so we went up Saturday morning early to clean it all ready for our guests who seemed lovely. They arrived about 3pm so then it was off to Asda for the dreaded food shop always hell when your on a diet! Stopped in Buckie on the way home as it has a Sue Ryder shop which has a small selection of Dolls house things, I got a couple of bargains a mannequin which I will paint black a cute chicken basket, some tools and a fridge. Got the fridge as its a very similar style to Smeg so my plan was to paint it with pink enamel, get some silver letters and it will transform into the fridge of my dreams! easier said than done!! Its driving me mad! I painted it yesterday and thought the colour was too dark and then when I got near the bottom of the paint pot it was white so it must have been stuck to the bottom as I did stir it! so out came the turps and off it all came! painted it again today and I swear everytime I look at it I see another speck of dust or something stuck to it, enamel paint takes forever to dry was ok on the logburner as it was black but the pink shows up everything! hopefully it will look something like its supposed to when it finally dries!!!

Got a lovely mirror in the post today ordered off Ebay last week was not expensive and was worried it might look childish but I loved the colours and it matches perfectly in Lavenders lounge! I made a little hole in the corner of the room yesterday, going to put a standard lamp in for now but really its ready for my Xmas tree always wanted one with real lights!!!
