Welcome to Quayside my town by the seaside!

WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE

Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!

I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! The links below will take you to each of my houses and I especially hope you enjoy your visit to Quayside :-)

Pizza and playtime

Another busy weekend in the village! We were actually home yesterday as the van is rented for this week, our first booking of the year! We always rent a few summer weeks to cover our fees for the next year. Last year was a bad year but this year we have 5 weeks booked in so we are more than happy with that! The cleaning part is not fun though as we have to empty it all out and it has to be spotless!

Anyway being home meant a bit of time spent in the village. I had taken a lot of the cakes out of the bakery to fill the new tea shop counters. I decided to make Luigis into bakery come deli so it would still sell pasties and bread etc plus some nice deli items and of course pizza!

I had a small shop unit which I sprayed silver so it would work as a hot counter for the pizzas. I will also add some hot pasties and sausage rolls.

I couldn't resist the cheese and stuffed olives which I won on Ebay for a couple of £'s as they looked perfect for a deli counter.

Maria is hard at work weighing out some nice ham and cheese for a customer (although there's no customer there yet lol)

The pizzas are hot and ready to go!

Luigi is hard at work as always!!

I also decided the village was missing a school! I don't have room for it a whole building just yet so for now I thought I would use the little mezzanine at the top of Rose Cottage.

I wanted to make this one on a budget as there's lots of new arrivals planned for the village and I wanted to save all my pennies for those. It just means being inventive with what I have for the insides for now. It worked well on the Tea shop so spurred on by that I thought I would have a rummage give it a go!

The only thing I had to buy was the child's desk as that was something I didn't have at all. Its was only a few £'s from good old Ebay so I told myself that was ok lol

The teacher is the doll I got from the Dolls House shop a while back just redressed in Bratz clothing. She needs some books and things on her desk!

The desk is very cute and a little different as I didn't want one of the ones with the attached seat as it would have been too big!

The table and chairs is perfect and was given to me by my good friend Carol and is all set ready for snack time with healthy fruit of course!

I found a picture of a playmat on Google images, printed it onto canvas and stuck some felt on the back. That turned out really well so I was very pleased with it. The little car is a Fiat 500 phone charm that had a broken cord....I knew it would come in handy one day lol!!

Lastly here are a few photos of my garden and almost midnight last night! it was so light it felt like daytime! One of the best parts of living up here is the long summer days. This is pretty much as dark as it gets this time of year and by 3am it getting light again!

I adore that little doll that is sitting in the pram at the front left of your school room! If you don't mind me asking, where did you get if from?
