Welcome to Quayside my town by the seaside!

WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE

Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!

I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! The links below will take you to each of my houses and I especially hope you enjoy your visit to Quayside :-)

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year to you all! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year! We did! It was very busy and great fun although it already seems like an age ago already! I hadn't been into Dollyland for weeks as Lydia had a few Monster high dolls for Xmas so she got all Bethany's old Bratz stuff out and was in there most days playing with it! It was lovely to hear her chattering away in imaginary play and although it was nice to get back in there I do miss her and would rather she was still there!

Anyway the decorations are all down and packed away so its back to normal! The day everyone arrived there were also 2 new arrivals to the village. I didn't get a chance to show you til now so here they are!

First up Samantha the lollipop lady! Isn't she fab! I made her sign so now all the children in Quayside can cross the road safely!

I was thinking how to make some belisha beacons and spotted some orange ping pong balls on Ebay and thought they would do the job nicely!

Next is Danny the traffic warden.

He came with a nice vest but I had a cheap little dog coat that was in the perfect fabric so I decided to make him a coat. He is checking to see if they have a valid ticket! He just needs a ticket pad!

My Mum decided I had far too many ladies in my rest home so she bought me a couple of gentlemen for xmas! I changed the table for a round one and have them sitting playing a game of cards!

The home is certainly a popular one!!!

My Brother was also here for Xmas and he is an artist. He made some mini oil paintings for my gallery.

They are just amazing! He used cocktails sticks as brushes were too big.

They were based on the full size one he made for my lounge!

I had hinted to Lindsay I wanted a jukebox and although not quite the one I wanted (I had told him which one lol) I do love it! I had hoped for a slightly more modern one so I might get another one and put this one in the village hall which I am sure will go down very well!

Its plays music although no idea what and looks great all lit up!

I have decided to redo my bedroom! I had been looking at this bedding for months and when it went in the sale after Xmas I had to have it! I am going for a vintage feel not quite shabby chic as my furniture isn't in that style.

  1. Happy New Year, Paula.

What fab additions you have to your Village. The Traffic Warden and Lollipop Lady are just perfect and I like your little old men in the Rest Home. It looks as though you're on quite a roll at the moment with all the great new ideas you have AND redecorating your RL bedroom (loving the bedding, by the way).

It must be the time of year when we get all twitchy and want to change/alter/update stuff - I'm the same. Once the decorations are down it's fatal!!
