Welcome to Quayside my town by the seaside!

WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE

Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!

I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! The links below will take you to each of my houses and I especially hope you enjoy your visit to Quayside :-)

Lovely dolls house shop goodies!

We were up at the van this past weekend as it was a bank Holiday.Friday was also an in service day so the school was off which meant we could go up Thursday night and stay til Monday which was bliss!! The weather could have been better though, as always it was nice as we were packing to come home! On Friday it just rained none stop so we decided to go to Inverness for a spot of shopping! This meant a we could pop into the dolls house shop as there were a few bits and pieces I was needing. Didn't get most of them lol but did get a few bits.

Here is my little stash! I was actually very good and didn't spend a fortune, I so easily could, but tried not to go to mad. The sofa for the bridal shop, the brown leather sofa was a bargain in the £5 box (it was £17.45 on the back!!) and is for the pub. I also got lots of other little bits and bobs.

The wall unit is for upstairs in the village hall and  the dresser is for the vicars house. The wall fountain was only £2 so I am sure that will go somewhere!

The doll was only cheap at under £5 but she was quite pretty and had really nice hair! The dress is pretty but not really modern enough so will redress her. She also had these huge white plastic shoes lol which looked so out of scale but underneath her feet were fine so will make her some new ones!

I had fun yesterday unpacking my purchases hoping everything was right for its new home! I had been after a little chair or sofa for the bridal shop for a while. I did buy a lovely chaise but it was really a bit big. I spotted this and loved the sat on look of the cushions so decided to go for it! It was a little dearer at £8.95 but I just knew it would be just what I needed. I would say this was my WOW item the one thing thats a bit special and a little bit more expensive although saying that it wasn't exactly expensive for a handmade item!!!

Its just right! Not too big so its overpowering the space. It will be a nice comfy spot for weary Mothers while they are waiting!

I had also been on the look out for a nice dark wood dresser for the vicars house that wasn't too big and this one was just perfect.  Its just the right size, shame I forgot to look for some crockery for it! I will have to go shopping in Wishes and Dishes for some!

I also put in a lovely green sofa that my good friend Deb sent me. I do love this house its different from my others its not so cluttered and it just has a real calmness to it! I figure a vicar wouldn't have a house full of 'stuff 'so I am trying to keep it a little more basic!

The parrot was expensive really for what it is but every pirate needs a parrot so I had to have him!!

The heater was a great little buy at £1.50 and was on my list so Holly didn't freeze while modelling! I also picked up the little box of art materials as it was only £1.75.

Finally heres Kelly the new doll redressed in her new outfit. I bought the gorgeous cardi of Deb a while ago and didn't have anyone to put it on so its just been on display in the knitting shop. I decided to put it on her for now as its still a bit cold down on the beach! I chopped the bottoms off some bratz cream jeans to go with it and she still needs shoes lol.  She will prob end up in some kind of surfer outfit as she look like shes prob more at home on the beach than in the shops!

  1. Great buys Paula, especially like the sofa, doll and parrot. Glad to see Holly has a heater now, lol.
