Welcome to Quayside my town by the seaside!

WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE

Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!

I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! The links below will take you to each of my houses and I especially hope you enjoy your visit to Quayside :-)

New villagers and a new cafe plus more!!!

Lots to catch up on this week! My first news is about the lovely little new cottage I got as always from Julie. I had planned for it to go in the village as a Post Office but sadly I got the measurements wrong and it wouldn't fit on the shelf. I was in a dilemma for days trying to decide what to do and eventually got the idea to move it upstairs with my 2 witchy properties. I have decided it will be called Cauldron Cottage and home to the Cauldron CafĂ©. My witches have a house and a shop now they will have somewhere to eat and meet friends!

I have had sooo much fun planning this little cottage and the fun starts tomorrow when it gets a repaint!! The blue is lovely but too pretty for a witch!

Next up is the pub! I have been trying for ages to get the feel of the pub right and no matter what I did the upstairs never really felt like a party!

First of all it needed some food! Every good party needs food!

Then a DJ! Timmys tunes has finished the gig at the village hall and is now playing all those cheesey party songs everyone wants to hear....birdy song anyone???

Its fun to be at the Y.M.C.A

I took out the big table and chairs and added some I made from barrels and wooden discs. With some stools to go with them they look much more the part! Now the party really has got started!!

Down stairs also had a bit of a change around. I took out the tall table and replaced with a smaller one and gave the captain his own table and chairs instead of an armchair. I also gave all the wood another coat of slightly darker stain just to match it in a bit better!

Now Timmy has another job for his mobile disco the town hall need some new entertainment. The WI voted for Walter who is a whizz on the piano. He's playing for the wedding just now but will be looking forward to the WI's Christmas party!

Also joining Walt in the village is Martha who runs the Cupcakery bakery.

There's also a very unwelcome visitor! I had to have him coming out of the holiday let as no one lives there. I couldn't bear the thought of him coming out of  a house a villager lived in lol! Not that he will get very far!!

Last of the new arrivals is Herbert who is taking a rest on the bench outside the bistro!

I have also bought a few nice goodies of my lovely Facebook Friends. I seem to buy more on there that Ebay at the moment! (apart from Dolls! There's no signs of that addiction slowing down!!)

Fisherman Bob has a lovely new shaving mirror.

And Rose has some new slippers that are so cute!

I have also been busy with the Christmas house. I have stained the shop fittings and put them all in place filled with goodies.

Those little stockings are so cute, also bought from a Facebook friend!

I have added lights to the outside tree. It really does look magical all lit up!

Last but not least is a new elf! She was a little doll Bethany had made to go with my Grinch but I decided I was going to be short on Elves. I changed her hair and added a hat and now she is busy handing out Christmas cupcakes!

I think that's me up to date :-) Oh and Simon if you read this I am so sorry I lost your comment on my last post! I had a blonde moment and pressed delete instead of publish lol and however I tried I couldn't get it back...SORRY!! xx
