Welcome to Quayside my town by the seaside!

WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE

Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!

I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! The links below will take you to each of my houses and I especially hope you enjoy your visit to Quayside :-)

Flowers, Easter and a shuffle around!!

This is todays contribution to Dollyland! Its not exactly an amazing feat of engineering lol just a simple stand I made for outside the flower shop but I think it looks the part! I need a few more different flowers there are a few too many for the same but for now at least theres stuff to sell. The aluminum bucket the bouquets are in was the perfect size and was only 79p from Hobbycraft.

I also redid the shop window thought it was about time as it still had the valentines day display in it  been too busy playing with my witches shop lol but it looks very Eastery now I think!

Had a little change around in Quayside yesterday! I had planned to put the shelf with the little shops above where Wishes and Dishes is but looking at it again I really felt it was going to be bit too high. So I decided to move Blackberry cottage over to the other side of the street as it doesn't have a lifting roof and Barnacle has an open top floor so doesn't need to fully open meaning I can have the shelf at eye level which will be much better. Its actually made more sense in the village as now the bistro runs out into the square as it would although I have had to lose the Harbour Hut as it was too crowded. I am hoping it will fit on the shelf but think it will be a bit of a squeeze so I may turn the little blue shop into a seaside shop and move everything into that!

Have to say thank goodness for tacky wax I moved all the houses I don't know how many times to get it to the point it felt right and that point would have been reached after about 5 mins cos all it meant swapping was 2 houses lol so the other 2 hours messing about was a total waste of time! well at least I was happy in the end! My poor friend Scarlett who was over for a visit must of thought I had lost the plot ha ha!!
