Welcome to Quayside my town by the seaside!

WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE

Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!

I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! The links below will take you to each of my houses and I especially hope you enjoy your visit to Quayside :-)

More things for the shabby chic shop still with no name!

Been busy today making more little things to go in my little shabby chic shop. Still haven't any ideas for a name yet I'm sure one will come to me when it arrives!

First I made a nice chair from a mahogany one I got from a Sue Ryder shop for 99p. Had to spray paint this one as it was too shiny for the emulsion to stick, this I realised after 4 coats of paint grrr! After its spray I recovered the upholstery and added trims and a cushion. Now it will be somewhere nice for the customers to rest their weary feet from all the shopping in Quayside!

Next was a boring little spice shelf of which I had already taken out the spice jars. Its fate was almost the same as the clock but decided to dig the old glue out from inside and give it a makeover. Gave it a paint and a little distressing and added some pretty jars of bath salts.

I wanted some little bottles of hand lotion so reused some wooden milk bottles. Gave them a spray as I wanted a glossier finish. Added the labels and pump tops. They will look better when in place on a shelf with other things.

I made some soap a while back for Seashell cottage and thought I could do more the same and fill a little basket for the shop. I wrapped each one in tissue paper and added some vintage style labels. They smell of vanilla and will  surely tempt the customers?

Finally made a few more picture frames with the Poundland mini frames. Its not always as easy than you think finding pictures that are the right size to fill the frames when shrunk down!

I now have lots of lovely things to fill my shop with when it arrives and best of all I have spent hardly anything as most has come from things I already have which is even better! :-)
