WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE

Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!

I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! The links below will take you to each of my houses and I especially hope you enjoy your visit to Quayside :-)

Bargains and freebies!!

Not much going on in Dollyland at the mo as I have been busy out and about with my friend Karen. Today we went to a place called Banff a local seaside town about 10 miles away. On the way there is a little haberdashery shop and every time we go past I think one day I must have a look in there so today we finally did!!! What a little treasure trove it was! I could have spent ages in there but the lady was closing for lunch and had an errand to run so we had to be quick. I got some nice fabric and allsorts of odds and ends which will keep me busy. I will def be back there were lots of flowers and I will be having a better look at those next time!

In Banff itself there is a carpet shop and last year when we were in there chatting to the owner she gave me a blind sample book and a vinyl tile book which have been so useful for mini things. I stuck my head in to say hello and she said 'ooh I have another book I saved for you' which was just fab. They are sample roller blinds and the size makes them the perfect size for a dolls house blind! She wouldn't take anything for it so we popped back later with a nice box of choccies to say thank you :-) My next fab find was a little toiletries bag I spotted in a charity shop. It was 50p and will make the most pretty eiderdown, I will have great fun reinventing that.

After lots of deliberation I decided to move the black and cream bedroom back into Seaview. I want the one in Seashell to be more feminine so it will be roses and cream and pretty florals instead. I have the old bedroom set in there just now which I may distress and reuse but I am just waiting on a BED I won on Ebay to arrive first as it has some def shabby chic potential and may plan the room around that. Although it wasn't the best picture so it might be pants lol but for a few pounds I though it was worth a shot!!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY to you all hope you got a nice romantic treat! I got the new bathroom and my dresser last week so much better than a box of chocs or flowers! :-)
