WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE

Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!

I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! The links below will take you to each of my houses and I especially hope you enjoy your visit to Quayside :-)

Getting ready for Valentines Day - Flowers anyone???

I recently asked Julie to make a shop front to fit in the corner between the shops but it turned out so well I decided to make it into a house and put it in the corner next to Lavender cottage and I asked her to make me another one that had a bigger window for a shop. The plan for the original one had been for a pub hence the smaller window but we decided to go with a flower shop instead as it would be more fun to change the window displays with the seasons. The new one arrived today and is just fabulous!!! It fits perfectly into the space and with the big shop window its perfect for displaying lots of lovely things.

The shop signs as usual made by Bethany although we had so many arguments over this name!! notice the phone number? its her date of birth :-)

I just love the whole effect and it brings an otherwise boring corner alive!

At the moment the window is all set for Valentines Day. Bob and Luigi are sure to be tempted to keep their lovely ladies happy!!

Upstairs I wanted to try and put a light inside to show of the wonderful window/doors so I made a little plinth on the inside and attached the light and the curtains. Its such a small thing a light but it brings the whole thing to life!!

I decided to use the Daffodil name plaque that arrived a couple of days ago as always made by Julie Lawton. Its one of my most favourite ever and thought it just had to go on this house as the colour matched so nicely, its just so pretty.

Eve the owner already has her first customer! A lovely bouquet of flowers for delivery in Quayside. Word has it they are for Angela but its not her Birthday so who on earth could they be from????
