Welcome to Quayside my town by the seaside!

WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE

Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!

I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! The links below will take you to each of my houses and I especially hope you enjoy your visit to Quayside :-)

Addicted to dollies!

Ok so I pretty much knew I was addicted to Dolls Houses but recently I have become even more addicted to dollies! I look every day to see if there are any new ones and when I see one that I just know will fit into Quayside I find it really hard to resist! I just love it when they arrive its like new people arriving in the village!

The other thing nowadays is postage and it sadly adds another £3 on the cost of every doll and Bernadette is very good and only ever charges one lot so its always worth getting a couple to make it worth while (did that sound convincing?? lol)

I had my eye on a doll for a week or 2 but couldn't think how she would fit into the village. It was actually my Mum that came up with the idea for her and so she jumped into my purchase history before I even knew it! More on her later! With my needing to buy more than one theory in full swing I was going to get another man pirate for the pub but then thought why not go for a lady one instead! Bernadette is used to my requests for all sorts of different characters now and she always manages to make exactly what I had in mind!

She sent me the picture of the lady on the right and I loved her! then she listed the other one on Ebay and I loved her too! They were both such different characters one looked like she would be flirting in the pub the other looked like she would cut you in two for a piece of gold! I spent about half an hour umming and arhing over what to do and in the end I was worried that someone else would get her so I bought both! I decided the were different enough to justify the double purchase and their similarities would work in their favour as they could be pirate sisters!

They arrived today and I am so glad I got both. I can't imagine them not being together now its like they were a pair and had to stay together!

I love how they are the same but very different!

Morgane (after captain Morgane on the DS one of my favourite games!) is the lover not the fighter! You will find her in the pub flirting with the fishermen to buy her drinks. She doesn't really want to be a pirate and flatly refuses to wear ugly big clumpy boots! I just added her headscarf to make her look slightly different to her sister! The cross on the chain was bought for the vicar but it suits her! I also added a Bratz suede belt for a bit of pirate bling!

Rosa Marguerite is the older sister. She takes her heritage very seriously and not many of the male crew members will willingly taker her on! She despairs at her sister and is always there to get her out of scrapes! I just added her belt to carry her sword and some ribbon on her boots!

Who will Morgane get to buy her drink this time???

Cyril tried hard not to be drawn in but finds it hard to resist her charms and soon orders the first drink of the night!

No idea what shes whispering in the captains ear but whatever shes saying its put a big smile on his face!

Rosa is upstairs with her shipmates planning the party!

This lady was the original doll to catch my eye! She having a peep round the now empty pub and thinks it may be just right for a new business in Quayside!

I think she will be most welcome every village needs a good takeway!!

I managed to stop at 3 only cos I couldn't afford more lol!  I could easily have bought at least 3 others but had to stop myself as funds don't allow mass dolly purchases!! I would stop looking and stop myself getting tempted but I just can't!! what if I miss the perfect doll!!! sadly it seems this addiction has no signs of slowing down!!
