Welcome to Quayside my town by the seaside!
WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE
Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!
I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! The links below will take you to each of my houses and I especially hope you enjoy your visit to Quayside :-)

A busy week and lots of new things!
Right where to start with what I got! I was quite a lot lol it was my 1st ever fair so I did get a bit carried away although it was lots of bargains. We were very good searching for hidden treasures in the clearance boxes and we found some lovely things! Rather than just post pictures of just lots of STUFF I will put the things I bought in their places and post a few each day so I don't bore you all too much!! I also bought a few things before I went away so will add those in too!
First we will visit the shabby chic shop! New items are are the lovely DHE climbing Sweetpeas and the beaded door curtain. I loved the one in Babs Boutique so much so I asked the lady to make me another and she did a wonderful job.
You can also see the fab Sweet Pea cottage name plaque by the wonderfully talented Julie Lawton my cottages would not be the same without all her little plaques!
Also new is the little hat by the equally Talented Kat the Hat lady. I had been looking at it for ages and decided to go for it and it is lovely just where I hoped it would be.....in the window!
I bought a few things at the fair including these dancing fairies which were just £1 each I just thought they were so pretty and the name underneath says they are all the way from Italy!
Luigi has done well in his kitchen with lots of new things. The bottle of Olive oil was from Ebay all the way from the USA but it looks just the part! I got the chopping board from the fair yesterday.
These handmade bakery shelves were also from the fair and they were my favourite find of the day. So nicely made and perfect for all the fresh baked bread and cakes which were also bought from the fair, although I prob didn't get enough and am wishing I had bought just a few more!
I got the little jar of olives from Ebay and again they were from the USA. They are super cute and they even have a little bubble that moves inside which make them look so real!
I also bought a little cottage from Ebay just before we went away. It was quite inexpensive and also included an adaptor which I needed anyway. I manged to get a quick glance at it on Friday but today I had a good look at it and decided it will be a witches cottage. The crooked chimney just had a witchy feel to it. It came with all the lights in all the windows inside and outside and looks lovely all lit up.
I have already done a little work on it! I have removed the grass as I have am getting a bit of wood cut tomorrow (thanks to my OH's contacts at work!) which will be the same length but give me another 4 inches of garden. I will redo it with some scatter grass and Winnie my white witch will live here as its rather crowded in Broomstick cottage. Now it will need a name so I have my thinking cap on! I love it so pleased I took a chance and bid as as usual it was a last minute decision lol!
Here are my fab fab new hats for the witches shop along with the little cloche hat. I asked Kat to make the green and black one for me as I wanted something that was a wicked witch from the Wizard of Oz style and while I was waiting I spotted the purple one in her Etsy shop and hat to have it! The are all wonderful! I love the green Wicked one and the purple one is all sparkly and is just fab!!!
Last but not least is my little dragon Fangus. I got the cage from ebay as I wanted to have a little dragon in my witches shop and it is just what I wanted but the door was quite small so if I had a fimo style one it would have to be tiny to fit. So I asked my lovely Ebay friend who made my wonderful little dog to make him for me as he would be soft he would go through the door. He is so cute I love him so here he is before he takes up residence in the shop!
Hi Paula. Love all your new goodies. I'm going to a Dolls House fair in a couple of weeks and so looking forward to it, my first in years! I know I'm going look for some fairies for my new cottage :) yours are so cute! Oh and your shabby chic shop is sooo adorable.

It's all so lovely, I especially love Sweet Pea it's really very cute! The new witchy cottage is fab and I just love that dragon! I will have to learn how to felt, although don't think i could get him as cute looking as that! Love the hats as well I must get on etsy and have a look, although don't really need any but no harm in having 1 or 2 tucked away!
ReplyDeleteThe bakery shelves were a great find and Winnie looks right at home in her new cottage :).
