Welcome to Quayside my town by the seaside!

WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE

Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!

I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! The links below will take you to each of my houses and I especially hope you enjoy your visit to Quayside :-)

A little Christmas in Spring!!

The weather has been pretty horrible this weekend so we have been at home not doing much. Yesterday I was sorting out my craft drawers and came across some snow scatter I had bought to do my Christmas house and I had a sudden urge to get on with it!! I had one of Julies lovely cottages that didn't fit into Quayside, there really is no more room in my spare room! I found the perfect little spot for it in the hallway next to the Franklin Mint Christmas house. There was a nice space in front to put the sleigh and reindeer. I have had great fun the past couple of days making it all Christmassy. The snow effect turned out really well so I am really chuffed with it. I was worried I wouldn't be able to make a seasisde cottage look wintery But I really think its worked! I listed this house on Ebay thank goodness it didn't sell now I have fallen in love with it all over again!

The lantern lights look perfect they def make it look very Christmassy!

Bethany added her magic touch!!

Julie Lawton of course made the wonderful sign!!

Oops someone didn't read the sign and now Rudolph is making a bid for freedom! Just as well I added the bells to his reins so someone is sure to hear him!

Welcome to the Claus Emporium! Mrs Claus runs the shop downstairs selling lots of gifts and lovely home made festive food.

It needs lots more stock added but luckily I had quite a lot from the Christmas fair scene I did last year.

Mr Claus works upstairs in his workshop although today hes not alone he has a little friend to visit, Melody.

He is taking a break for the hard work to enjoy a nice Christmas dinner, he never gets bored of Turkey!!

Diane a lady I have met locally visited today to pick up my O'Rourkes which she had decided to buy. I was quite sad to see it go but I know she will love it and do it more justice than I did so I am really happy it was her that bought it as I follow her blog so can see it anytime I want! It was nice chatting Dolls houses with her and her daughter!

I think I am needing some kind of help as earlier I was waiting to bid on a doll on Ebay and I actually felt sick lol I had been watching her for days and really wanted her to go in Seashell Cottage. I have been looking for a very special resident! I put my bid in with 5 seconds to go and honestly didn't think I had a chance in hell of winning her as she was made by Bella Belle dolls and I know how desired they are and although beautiful they are very expensive. I drooled over Julies stand at the DH fair in Edinburgh last week and never thought I would get chance to own one. Well I WON! I am so thrilled I think I screamed lol I can't wait for her to arrive and settle in her new home!
