WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE

Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!

I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! The links below will take you to each of my houses and I especially hope you enjoy your visit to Quayside :-)

Some new purchases

I had a very productive visit to the DH shop last week and got lots of projects to keep me busy over the winter. I got a roll of thin hobby cork that was £1.50 and will be great for making mats and a village noticeboard so that was a great find. I got loads of little bits not overly exciting to show you but I did get a few nice things! My favourite thing is a gorgeous bench which was my WOW item. I always try and get one thing thats a usually a bit more expensive but its something that I really couldn't make myself so it worth the little extra. I have looked at it a few times so my lovely OH treated me to it. It was just under £14 so not extortionately priced for something so nice and its so sweet the cast iron ends are just lovely.

She also had 10% off the Cornish style china so I stocked up as she won't be getting anymore and I do love it so that will prob fill the shelves in the village hall kitchen.

I have also had a few nice things from Ebay lately a lovely cream aga that has been really well customised. They had aged it and added the metal hob covers and tea towel rail. It will be perfect in my Christmas shop in the nice big fireplace. Decided to go with the aga rather than a fire as it will be much more fun to decorate.

It also came with the farmhouse table and I bought some cute Christmas cupcakes and some very realistic sandwiches which will also go in the village hall kitchen so my WI ladies will be very busy making grub for the Halloween party being held tomorrow!

I am always on the lookout for new villagers from the lady who had made most of my dolls. Today I spotted a vampire and thought he just didn't look scary he had such a sweet and friendly face! I got a great coffin in the dolls house shop last week which I am sure he will be very pleased with! The lovely Bernadette very kindly posted him straight off today and my fingers are crossed he arrives in time for the party tomorrow!!
