WELCOME TO QUAYSIDE MY TOWN BY THE SEASIDE

Thank you for visiting my blog and thanks even more if you decide to follow :-) I really do enjoying doing it and love to share my projects with you all! In the village at last count I had 18 houses, 14 little roombox size shops, 3 half houses, and 1 half church (half being just a front!) there's also 1 quarter of a house (just half of a front lol) 2 market stalls, 3 market carts and beach huts on the beach although theres always seems to be room for just one more!

I also have a my 1st house a traditional Victorian manor which is very special as it was bought with money left to me by my beloved Nan. There's also my witches house and a witches shop. I also have a lovely Honeychurch house which is my Christmas shop and house and my latest venture a little vintage cottage. But the bulk of my property empire is Quayside, my little Cornish seaside village full of lovely individual cottages and all its wonderful residents. This has become a real labour of love and has turned me from a Dolls house fan into a complete and utter addict! The links below will take you to each of my houses and I especially hope you enjoy your visit to Quayside :-)

Pathways and buttons

Yesterday I tackled the 2nd part of the pathways. I had painted the 1st coat in dark grey and then had to sponge on the black and white. I didn't have a lot of black so theres only a small amount and much more white. I was a bit worried it was too much but I think the overall look is ok. It certainly makes the village look more of a village with the paths connecting it all.

I was planning on doing the pergola today but finally got my daughter to do my Christmas shop signs. I will wait just a little longer before sharing the pics as I am just waiting on a couple of lovely pieces to finish it off! So this evening I just fancied doing a little job so thought I would make a button stand. I really wanted some more things for the knitting shop and thought a nice little stand on the counter would add some interest. I have been after a little stand for ages to use for it and eventually managed to get a lovely little brass mug tree on Ebay for 99p. With the postage it was about £3 but as I already had the buttons it was the only outlay needed. It also came with 4 mugs with names on that have gone into the china shop so it was a good little purchase!  Bethany printed me off some little cards and I spent an hour sticking on buttons. I'm really pleased with it, it fills the counter nicely :-)

  1. Think the pathways look perfect, doesn't look like too much white, fits in brilliantly! Oh the button cards are just too cute as well, they look great on the counter
